100% Cpu

whenever i do simple tasks like photoshop, or a bring a couple of webpages up at the same time, my cpu goes up to 100%. is there programs running that are taking it up? i have no idea, i formatted my harddrive hoping that would fix it but it didn't

i have 2.6 processor, with 512 ram, i use road runner on windows xp. its usually at 100% when im using something. it'll be at 100 if im trying to watch a video, streaming or not...or when im trying to use some other software, which makes it just lag like horrible

Sometimes right when i open something it goes up to 100% but a couple of seconds later it goes down... Is it 100% full load for however long your keeping it open for?

post your specs. it could be that ur comp can't handle those programs easily (which isn't very likely) or it could be something else (yea i know that's vague)....

to increase your speeds in multitasking, increase your ram to at least a Gigabyte. You'll notice a difference
