Hey all,
I am running a gaming machine that I was looking to update my monitor for. I currently have a 17'' Dell monitor at native 1280x1024, but I wanted to move up to either a 1600x1200 or possibly widescreen. I was curious as to which would be better. I was looking at this from newegg:

Seems to be a pretty good setup but I was curious if there is any gain from a widescreen resolution other then a "gimmick" and that I should just stick to a 4:3, 1600x1200 LCD. I'd appreciate any feedback from you all. thanks.
