what in EARTH is going on?

shortcuts to programs seem to stop working, and it says invalid path. when i investigate closer, the progrmas .exe appears to be gone from the program files... this has happened to 3 programs so far.

EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP

run that

delete the icons from the desktop

reboot and replace the icons

Restore .ico File Associations

if that one above dont work, try this one

but the exes are gone from the program files...?

how do i run those? they are just text links...

true.....duh...you might need to run a repair with your xp cd

OK, reinstalled the offending programs, if it does it again, i will repair. thanks for the help, i will post what happens.
