media player 9 probs

Help please!
I was having problems with windows media player9 and went to reinstall
now I get error message saying that I have another program that hasn't finished installation-restart computer. Which I did and it doesn't work.
I am running win ME(yuck)

I may not have been clear this is an installation problem. everything extracts then it warns me to cancel and restart computer

sounds like you need to update Java first.

yes I have current updated mcafee but I will run scan to make sure

unfortunately, i dont think you can run WMP. I would try Winamp.
However, if you post a HiJackThis log, in the Virus -> HiJackThis logs analyze area of this forum, MicroBell would be happy to help you.
