What happened 2to all the space

I have an 80GB Hardrive, yet ive only got about 3GB left!! I know i have about 30GB of music, but cant think what all the remaining space contains....Does anyone know if windows media player and itunes music libraries 'double-up' on space on the same songs even though stored at the same location? Abit of broad request i know, but suggestions would be welcome

itunes would not do that. If you imported a library it should just point to the exsisting files. You need to get rid of all that porn. j/k

well the hdd would have formatted to about 74gb so thats 6gb of it explained. you may have a large page file and a lot of stuff in system restore points which could explain as much as 10gb+ of it.

Haha, nah i got rid of the porn a longtime ago.........Nitestick you said there could be 10+GB off 'stuff' in system restore points, how could i free up all this space?....And yeh you were right it formatted at about 70.5GB, what a con! hehe

You can also run some software to clear up useless information such as window washer or ccleaner. Uninstall programs to that you dont use because its just a waste of space.

If you're using opera, or even Firefox{Why wouldn't ya? LOL}
The cache usually buids up...A LOT! I know, I'm still addicted to...Well you know!

Go into add/remove programs in control panel and see what's running on that drive. Add the totals for the used space. How Much?

Thanks to all to those who replied, manage to free abit more space up, but inevitably i filled it with more music! Still rather baffled though as to what the other 40.5 GB consists of, could anyone tell me in short?!

first of all, right click on c: drive and select properties. Look if the computer fully recognized your hardware capacity.
