hdd problem

ok heres the deal my old pc passwird protected running xp bummed out , got a packard bell pc added my old hdd know the old hdd pass word ect but when i access my second hdd documents (old hdd) it says not athourised to access. now i wanna know how can i access it? i have my password but it doesnt prompt for it and all my music / dvds are backed up there any ideas

First, turn off simple file sharing (Tools > Folder options > View in any exploer window). The right lcick the my documents folder and select "sharign and security" hit the security tab, hit advanced, then the owner tab, there should be a button there, or somewhere in that windows that allows you to "take ownership" of the folder.
