So is this a good build? If so, i'm going straight to my parents and telling them of the good news! they wont have to buy the sony vaio i posted earlier!

...but instead, THE AMD ATHLON 64 X2!! :) It's only 100$ more, but dam shipping costs another 150$. i'm over 250$.

i've decided to switch from 4200+ to 3800+, i figured wouldnt make much difference. is this a good idea?

if you want best bang for your buck, buy the parts from newegg and assmble it yourself. looks like you only need the tower.. no monitor or anything.. for $1200-$1300 you can get a better setup.

so if i assemble myself...is there a guide somewhere on manually assembling parts together? plus....what cables connect to what? and os? will any OS work?
