i am wondering if i can replace the celeron that is in my laptop with a athlon2400+ cpu and id so how do i go about doing this

chances are, you can not, because the motherboard is probably Intel only. My PC is the same way.

Could you give us the model number of the laptop so we can check to see which mobo is in there?

i'd say no because the mobo IS Intel only and if i remember correctly, it's a HUGE pain to replace a CPU in a laptop...also, you don't want to replace a Celeron M with a full power AMD Athlon...would probably run WAAAY too hot and give you hellish battery life

Celeron = Intel.
Athlon = AMD.
Never shall the twain meet.

You would have to replace the motherboard in your laptop in order to do it.

You'd be better off trying to swap out your Celeron for a P-M.

True, then though, he might be better off just getting a new laptop

true, but don't forget, it's a laptop...almost impossible for a user to replace the graphics card in MOST laptops
