Interupts

Gents,

I have a question about a friends computer.

He is concerned because when playing video or playing games the sound CAN get a little choppy.

Now he has looked in his BIOS and he can see that the sound card (on the PCI bus) and this graphics card (AGP bus) have hte same interupt number assigned.

Is this an issue or can they have the same interupt but on seperate buses ?

no, if it were a problem neither of the cards would work. it would help if we knew what games he is playing on what settings with what hardware. my guess is his cpu is struggling

most likely a sound driver issue, or the comp is just too slow.

IRQs pretty much take care of themselves these days.
