Okay so these are ym cuurent specs.

Intel p4 2.6Ghz(800)
GA-8IPE(1000) Gigabyte motherboard
120gb Seagate 7200rpm
512 DDR
DVD player + Cd writer
Radeon 9200pro AGP 256mb

I bought this pc in 2003. Up until last year the pc was fine. These days it struggles to run anything.Games like Battlefield 2, NFS:MW are pretty unlpayable, unless you turn it down so low that it looks like PSP graphics.

So im thinking upgrade or try sell this and build something new. I would like to replace everything, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc.I was leaning towards building a completly new system as i think it would be alot of fun and its holidays now anyway. But what do u guys think? are any of my parts worth keeping?.

Im living in New Zealand so please take that into account. The prices of items can be seen here.

Budget wise if i sell this then id be looking at a $2k CPU and another $500 for the extra things like monitor and accessories.

What type of system would you guys reccomend from the parts availalable for $2k from http://www.pricespy.co.nz/cat_16.html

I had that same cpu and board with a radeon 9550 256mb, and 2x512 ultra in dual channel and over clocked to 3.03 ghz and it would play everygame I had pretty good, Even BF2 at medium,, your ram and video card is hampering your game play. Who am I to say I just built a new system, lol

Here's What I would do
