I bought a used MOBO and an Intel Celeron processor. The combination doesn't work. In the manual I have for the board, it lists 4 P4 processors that would work with this board. Are these just the processors that thje works best with, or are these the only processors? Could it use any P4 processor?

The MOBO is an ECS 661 FX-M. The processor is an Intel Celeron 2.4GHz, 128k cache, 400MHz FSB. The processors that the board supports are: Pentium 4-
Williamette: FSB 400, 512k
Northwood: FSB 400/533, 512k cache
FSB 533, 512k cache, HT support
FSB 800, 512k cache, HT support

Celeron processors are not listed.

I'm no Intel expert, but from what I can figure out, it does not seem that the Celeron and the Pentium you describe, use the same socket. Like putting a Socket 939 CPU in a socket A Mobo. Anybody else jump in if you know better.
