sound card suggestions

i need suggestions for a sound card with which i can

- mix music
- edit videos
- play 5.1 channel audio

beyone that... just overall good performance at a reasonable price...

any suggestions?

What's your budget and what connection's do you need. Creative sb audigy's and turtle beach are good places to start.

The creative X-Fi is also very good

I have an audigy 2 as well (almost identical to that one) and it is awesome!!, I have never used the firewire. You can hook an unamplified headset directly to it and you can't turn it up all the way it would kill your ears. And it sounds crystall clear (when set up right)

yeah i was looking at that one, but i guess it doesnt work for video editing
