Extremely Hot GFX Card!!!

I got my computer over 2 years ago. Just bought this video card in the winter so i didnt have to worry about it overheating, but now its a big issue. I have a fan blowing directly on the gfx card right now keeps it at 85ºC under load.

thats not too bad, is it OK as a permenant solution?

Its not permanent. I just bought the zalman vf-700 cu/pci slot fan/as5 for it.

WOW, what a difference that made.

Idle is now 38ºC
Load is about 48ºC

Im very impressed. I also put AS5 on there so i can expect the temps to drop a little more.

Im suprised it went down that much. Went down 22ºC during idle, and 30ºC during load, its amazing.

AMD is very cheap. Their priceerformance ratio is much cheaper.meaning if u bought a x2 3800 for like 300 bucks u cudnt get an intel for that price or cheaper that had the same performance

And congrats on lowering your temps around 50c from your 102c, any high and you could have video card soup.

You know what i was thinking, maybe you have high temps cause the stock heatsink wasnt make secure contact with the GPU core anyways WOOT
