did you connect the 4pin plug to the mobo?
and did you connect the power plug to the video card?
check if the vga cable is sitting tight in both ends

dont connect the ez-plug, it should be used only when using SLI

try this , unplug the power cord from the psu and get the battery out for 1 hour then put it back (back exactly as it was,not upside down) , reconnect the power cord & power up

ok, my hardware is

New:
Asus a8n32 deluxe motherboard
Nvidia 7800gtx PCI-E graphics card
AMD Athlon 3500 CPU
2x 256mb OCZ PC-3200 184-Pin DDR Dual Channel RAM
Hiper Type R 580W Modular PSU

Old:
Amd Athlon (Unknown Model) 754 CPU
ATI Radeon 7200 Graphics Card
(Unknown Model) ATX Motherboard, NOT PCI-E, SLI
2x 512 Infenon PC3200 RAM
LiteOn PS-5251-08HP 250w PSU

At the moment i have my New motherboard sitting on my desk, with my New Graphics card, New CPU, and 1 stick of New RAM plugged into it. I have the 24-pin connector and the 12v 4-pin connector from my New PSU plugged into my motherboard, and the 6-pin power connector plugged into my Graphics card. The only Jumper there is if the CMOS, and i have that in the right place. My Moniter is plugged into my Graphics card via an adapter, that converts standard moniter plug into DVI-I.
