cpu upgrading problems

ok heres my problem .
i have a 667 mhz p3 socket 370 that works on this motherboard.
and a 733mhz thats a p3 same as the 667 , 733\256\133\1.65v and it will not work on the board im pretty sure the processor is good and im hoping yall will know cause the 667mhz is bad it just runs with it turns the monitor on and thats it.

i couldnt find no jumpers on the motherboard.
its a hp pavilian around 1999-2000 i hadnt any luck find out the model.

so you're saying one processor turns on the monitor and the other does nothing? sounds like a messed up motherboard to me

well yeah it turns on and has 1 million white lines coming across it

this mite help to i got another socket 370 mb that wouldnt boot and i put the 667 in it to see if it would and i believe it was a higher voltage board that is where i blelieve it is cpu related

my main question is i cannot see why the 733mhz would not work in my 667 old board thx for any advice
