New computer, new problems

SO here is the quick link fes tot what i got,
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 2000MHz HT

and then 4 512mb ddr 400.

Now onto the problem, My computer is only saying i am running at 800 mhz fsb, and ddr333. What settings do I have to change so it reads my hardware correctly?

I have built a few computers before, but I thought it best to consult the gurus here.

its a problem that happens with some motherboards. when you try to run 4 memory stick some motherboards downclock to DDR333. i can almost guarantee you that if you remove 2 of the stick it will run DDR400. if its not too late to return the sticks i would try and swap them for 2x1gb or perhaps you could sell them and buy 2x1gb

Thanks, that did work. I also found if i turn the auto setting off in the bios, i can change it to 400. I'll see how that goes.

Should my fsb really be at 800mhz? i thought it was 1000mhz. Please correct me if I am wrong.

its because the FSB downclocked with the memory

Ugh ok.

I had a memory crash or something last night playing far cry. It doesnt seem to want to run at 400. So I will see if I can return it.
