Ok, I've set up this old Compaq laptop with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, to use as a desktop for internet usage / low requirement games (refresh rate on the LCD is crap).
Its running off a Trident Cyberblade-i7 graphics card (YES 4MB!), and my question is this:
Are there any drivers available or such that would allow it to display at 1024x768, normally. As of right now when I set it to that, it's just 800x600, and it scrolls across to make it bigger.
Im not sure if this is a function of the drivers, or the video card, or the monitor, as I remember the same thing happening when I tried going OVER 1024x768 when my primary computer was on a projector.
Again, I'm not asking for you to find me drivers, but is that even technologically possible for that to be the problem.
