Windows 98 setup from XP ??? HELLP!!

hi guys........i want to install windows 98 on my PC. i want it dual booted(XP and 98) both.......... plz tell me how to do it.....i dont have a floppy drive to boot to BIOS..... when i click on setup in win98 CD.....it says you cannot install this OS......run your PC in MS-DOS mode........there's no MS-DOS mode in Windows XP when i press F8 during startup



Please help ASAP

Maybe i just sound plain stupid now and you have already tried this or know this.

But you must install it while rebooting your computer.

1.in windows put the windows 98 cd in
2. Restart your computer
3. During the start it says: press any key to boot from the cd ( or something similair.
4. You will get in the menu and choose install new Windows.
5. Simply use another partition to install it on.
6. Wait while installation is ready

I hope it works and this is what you meant.

i have a copy of windows 98..........i have no bootable disk! plz my setup is on my D: hard drive

you need to install windows 98 before you can install xp to dual boot

True you need to install 98 first and then install XP on a different partition. I f have just done the same thing myself.

Since the 98 CD is not bootable, you will need to boot to a floppy and then run setup from the CD in DOS. Search google for windows 98 startup disk if you don't have the startup floppy.
