My friend said that you can use 2 different cards in crossfire. Is this true? I don't pay that much attention to crossfire so I need a little help. I didn't believe what he said but I could be wrong.

crossfire is ATIs answer to nvidias SLI.

if that wasnt what you were looking for and what you ment by different was litterelly two different cards, ive also heard that you can use two different cards from ATI in it, but I fail to see how that would work?

you have to have 1 crossfire card and one capable card of being in pci-e, say u use a x850 crossfire and a x800, it will slow the 850 to the 800 speeds to run in crossfire.
