Remove encryption after formatting...

Hi

how are you all! i formated my pc a couple of days ago ,,, and now i cant open any of the old encrypted files ,,, i used the advanced option in xp files ,,, "encrypt content to secure data" ,,, can anyone help me out ! my os is xp pro (sp1)

You cannot get your old files because your encryption key is different. If you were to get your old files then it wouldn't be "encrypting your files". I don't know of any ways to break the Windows encryption.

that why it is better to use winrar to encrypt files

I agree I lost some files when I changed my motherboards. I guess your hardware plays a role in your key.
