Confused with optical Drive and HD cables

ahh Im confused on how to hook up my optical drive...

I connected the IDE cord, the big yellow one, connected the 4 pin power thing.

There is a tiny Green thing on two of the 6 pins on one section and there is master slave and cable select.

Do I put the green thing over master as this being my primary drive?

confused...

Also my hard drive was OEM so I cant really look at the Manual..

Right now I have the SATA Cable in, the power connector, but I was wondering is the thing to the left of the SATA cable The SATA Power connector,


My HD is Raptor 150

PSU: Antec true power 550..

Put the jumper on to master if it's your primary.

You plug in the thing SATA cable to your hard drive, then you should've gotten another cable with your motherboard that converts that plug next to the thin SATA plug into a molex connector.

No, you just put the little cap (jumper) over the two pins that the drive should indicate are master. The only things you plug into it are a molex connector and an IDE cable.
