It is impossible for any 32 bit operating system to address more than 4GB of memory which is really the only draw to 64 bit instruction sets

3GB is hardly the "norm" though, if you require 2GB you're in a very small minority likewise if you require a 7900/x1900 you are in a minority

I'm still telling you hardware enthusiasts make up a very small fraction of the market and just because in the future you may require more than 2GB of memory to perform at the absolute highest standards, that does not qualify something as the norm

Then again before BF2 you where saying that 2gig is far from norm. Look at it now. Im talking about us, gamers, not everyday ppl that surf the web and can use a P1 for everything. BTW thats only Valve users but i get your point. I know exactly what your talking about but are you seriously gonna say that if your running a (hypotheticaly speaking) a quad-core Intel your going to be using 2gig or less? I doubt it.
