How exactly do I/you know that? ...

The 4404 is like 1200 bucks...

300 more wont make a difference?

I was asking around in a Notebook forum... And was convinced to get the DELL XPS M170...

I found an ebay listing with this...

Found a decent buy...

INSPIRON XPS Gen 2 Centrino Pentium M SERIES

Intel Pentium M 760 Centrino Processor at 2.00 Ghz with 533mhz (2MB level2 cache)

17" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) Wide Screen with TrueLife Technology!

2 GB or 2048MB RAM PC4200

256MB NVIDIA Geforce Ultra 7800

120 GB HD 5400 RPM

8x DVD+/-RW! - 9 Cell Battery 80Whr

FULL 1 YR WARRANTY

--------------
Buying it from DELL you get 1gb ram, and a 60gb HD... So, this comes with 2gb ram and a 120gb HD... For just about the same price as the default one at DELL...

Costs a little under 2 grand... worth it?

As for the Dell E1705, all I can say is that, for $1600 it ought to come with a pair of socks withhandles, 'cause you're gonna bend over and grab your ankles. Integrated Intel graphics, marketting McAfee as a 'plus'... you can do better for the money.

As for buying a laptop off of eBay... You are on your own. Just try to make sure that the person you are buying from has a really good reputation.

Ya, he is a power seller... 3012 possitive feedback... That isn't an issue...

The M170 apparrently comes with the best graphic card for Lappies to date, or so I have been told...

2gb ram, 120gb Hd...

This seems decent...

Would cost easily 2200+ if I got it through DELL alone...

If it makes you happy, and you have the money... that's all that matters as far as computers go.

Yeh, but I want some input on what I posted...

As far as how good the comp is for the money...
