Get teh Viewsonic VX922.. or at least look in to it. I used to be a hard core crt fanatic... i wouldnt use anything but CRT.. got this monitor.. and I am amazed by it.

I heard that monitor is really bad for watching dvds. I watch alot of vob files and movies here and there so that is important.

It is bad for DVDs. It's *** for just about anything but gaming... but only if you take response time into account. Picture quality and text quality is still sub par.

The review on CNET said everything was good on it except it had poor dvd playback. And thats important to me.

Something about the response time. People say that when wathing a dvd one of the problems is that the image seems to move when things should be still. And something else. Here is the site that has that review.

I have no problems watching dvds, stearming video... anything... i mean ill grant it that watching a dvd on a crt compared to this would be a little better... but its awesomeness in everything else far outweights that minor thing...
