How can u tell?

Ok, i am upgrading my computer and i need to know wether my cpu is Socket T or 478.... i cant remember, and i dont want to experiment.

Is there somewhere i can go in my computer to find out the Exact Specs of my hardware.

ok i found the model and everything. and this is what i got
a Pentium 4 Prescott 520 @2.8ghz (LGA 775)

I looked it up on google and i got this from site

Intel Pentium 4 520 2.8E GHz Prescott Core, 800MHz FSB, 1MB Cache, 90nm, Socket 775 CPU Processor LGA775

I cant find wheter it is Socket T or 478??

It has Socket T then LGA 775 in paraenthesis
So does that mean that it will work with both??

LGA 775 means it's socket 775, there isn't only two different types of sockets. Use CPU-Z to find out exactly what it is for certain, don't trust online information.

Wait your right, sorry I'm not really smart when it comes to Intel. Its socket T.
