Okay , no problem im just really anxious =D, so ill wait for some more opinions on whats the best build for me.

does it have to be $1000 before mail in rebates? or can it be more than $1000 but less than after mail in rebates..?

ok and what would you prefer, good overall computer performance, or raw gaming speed? (w/e you pick could decide b/w dual core and 7900gt)

oh and.. isn't there anything you can strip from your old comp? or do you need that in working condition for something else? like hard drives and optical drives..

I can use my optical drives, and i will need a HD and between the performacne i would like to have very high fps, and somewhat future proof, if you know what i mean

K lets ee here

AMD X2 3800+ $300
eVGA 7900GT $300, i highly doubt you need a 7900 GTX, the 7900 GT is still the amazing
DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D $120
Corsair XMS 2x1GB dual channel $160
That Aspire Case suggested before $65
NEC 3550A Drive $30
Caviar 80GB SATA $50

comes to a total of $1025, but i didnt calculate any rebates so...it should be below 1000

ya john thats a good build.. but i don't think you can get all that for under $1000. go try it out on newegg.. those prices are just from the top of your head right? you might have to make a cut or two.. but if you can pull it off, great build!

edit: you also need a powersupply.. so thats like $50

i got some parts that are a bit cheaper...

7900gts are mostly sold out.. so the evga one thats left is a bit expensive.. so i put this xfx.. hope no one objects..
