What speakers to choose?

I'm stuck on what speakers I should buy. I saw these at a store, and I heard them, and they sounded pretty good.

And these are the one I was gonna get originally because they're 5.1.

Which ones would you choose?

go with the Logitech Z-5300's or Z-5500's if you have a bit more money
they are both 5.1 and have ownage RMS Power. As well get rid of that SB Audigy 2 ZS and go with the X-Fi...huge difference.

What's the difference between the ZS and the X-Fi?

Are you sure about those speakers? And what's RMS?

the X-Fi takes much more load off the CPU than the ZS
the X-Fi also supports EAX 5.0

Oh ok then, looks like I'm going to get the X-Fi.

Those 2.1 speakers are more expensive than the 5.1 ones. I know this sounds naive, but isn't the rule, if it's more expensive, it's better?

yes that's the general rule. I'd say they do have better sound quality, but they aren't 5.1
do you really want 5.1 sound?

Ive got the logitech Z4's and they sound absolutely amazing, the build quality is also pretty impressive.

Yeah, what's the benefits of having 5.1? Is it just for surround?

I thought the Z4s looked really good, and they did look like they were built very tough. The controller they have for the bass and volume is awesome too.
