Ya, see... A TV tuner would be a good thing for college... Then I wouldn't have to have a **** TV in my dorm as well...

I am looking at those, but does anyone else have any recommendations?

Jeremy is the only guy talking...

the ferarri was a good choice but im going with jeremy on this one, cyber power has good prices on gaming laptops, either of those are good. the X700 card is better on DirectX games and the geForce card is better on OpenGL and source engined games. im my experience the geforce 6600 out performed a X700pro in HL2 and CS: source but on other games im not sure.

I am going to Sacramento State University...

Was just checking out their site and found they have deals for college students with apple, dell, and Gateway...

The dell list of comps is HERE

Dell seems to make the only legit computer out of those 3...

Are dells worth it?

I get like 15% off as an incoming college student...

EDIT: Just found Dells "university" section... And this comp looks somewhat decent? Let me know... HERE

appl elaptops are really nice but dont expect much on them from here this is a pc forum. from my personal experience however the iBook is a great little machine. the only downside is radeon 9550 32mb graphics. it will play halo and nothing more advanced.

I'm telling you the 4404 is the best deal for the $
I can spend a little bit more than that though... like 1500...

Plus a 17" would be better...

I have been asking about Dell's quality, and have gotten no response... How do they run?
