colors look strange

hello,

i'm having a problem with my monitor. Suddenly the colors statred looking strange; actually the blue still looks blue, but the red looks a bit black and the yellow looks green. i tried searching on the internet for my problem .. but i can't find anything.. i tried shuting down the computer but nothing happened .. something is wrong with the colors.
i hope you can help me

What kind of monitor you have?TFT or CRT?Try the Degauss.If you have any speakers near the monitor move them away and see if the colors change.

One think you can try is pulling out the connector and looking at the pins on it. I had this problem one time and it was only a bent pin. If it is bent, try and straighten it out and it should work fine.

Sounds like magnetic interference. Try degausing like johnyb said.

Yea, what kind of monitor is this. I once had a problem with my LCD monitor, the color was distorted. I fix the problem by unplugging and replugging the power cord while the computer was on. The monitor just reset itself or reintialize something.

OK ..
I tried the following:
1- I shut down the computer
2- I unpluged the speakers and put them away
3- I unpluged the monitor from the CPU
4- I repluged it and tuned the computer on
5- The colors were fine for a minute then ... i have the same problem again

But at least I know its not the speakers and not the connections

i think the monitor cable (to the tower) would be a bit loose

OK ... now something very weird is going on ..
it stays "OK" for a few seconds (sometimes minutes)
and then the problem is back !
and then it goes
and then it comes back
..
