What video card to get until G80?

Hard choice. I know the 6600gt is faster than the x1300pro, but between a 6600 vanilla? I really can't say...

Until yesterday I had an AGP based 6600 GT 128 megs, if you can afford it then I would say spend the extra cash for the GT.

I had some great performance from it, and ultimately it was the rest of my system that let it down.

I have a friend who runs a PCI-E version of the 6800 128 and he scores very nicely on 3dmark05 and plays most games comfortably.

I'm thinking now to just get the 6200TC, seeing as I only need it for two months til G80. If I were to ge a 6600GT, I'd be paying three times more than a 6200TC for it.

I found some benchmarks for it, and it did pretty well. Better in most games than my current rig.

What month is fall? I can still cancel the order seeing as it's Easter weekend, and all shops are closed until Tuesday.

I got a 6800GT to hold me off until then. I'm very happy with the 6800GT, so I recommend that.

Hmm, I dunno now though. Should I buy a low end card to save money now, and get a G80 when it comes out, or just buy a 7900GT now.

EDIT: I cancelled my order for that 6200TC now too. Wondering whether to get a 6600/GT, and a G80 when it comes out, or just a 7900GT now.
