Ok here is the problem,

i was just trying out different resolutions on my desktop to see what would be best. I have an lcd monitor and switched to one of the highest setting listed which was 1280 by 960. i didn't like that so i tried to go back to 1024 by 768. BUt when i did that, some of the screen appeared off the monitor. what i mean by that is that some icons were off the screen and i can not bring them back onto the viewing screen. No other resolution but 1280 by 960 works so it seems to be a bit of a bother.

Now that may seem like not that big of a deal but when i tried to play a game, the screen is all messed up unless i play it at 1280 by 960.

I do not beleive it is a gfx card error as it started with my ati x600 the other day. And i just switched it out for the 7600gt, and still have the problem. I'm almost 100% sure i have all the newest drivers.

I hope someone out ther has an idea.

You monitor should have a menu buttom (or something similar). Push it, and look for an option to self-adjust.

There ya go.
