Windows XP Recovery

To whom it may concern,

I need your urgent help as soon as possible. I am trying to fix my copmuter that got infected witha a virus, the follwing file is missing

c:\windows\system32\config\system

however when i try to copy the file from my CD into the Hardrive I get an ACcess Denied Key...WTF do I do????

run sfc /scannow

this will check the integrity of your system files and replace if need be.

i dont have a command prompt i cant
run sfc/scannow

i only hve the Windowx XP recovery and i dont want to format my hardrive.

this is gonna be a pain in the rear

you coul duse the expand command to deflate the appropiate files from your cd to that directory.

i'd prolly try repairing my installation first though

if you hard drive have important data,then copy to the other disk apart
from the system disk in dos system ,after that format your system disk and reload your windows xp,that's it,
