DVD audio doesnt work. PLEASE HELP

My friend's computer is running fine, but whenever he puts in a DVD the audio doesn't work. All other audio works, but I think it has something to do with the KWorld Video Magician TV tuner. The TV tuner audio doesn't work whenever you watch TV and I don't know if I plugged in the right cables. Please tell me if the DVD audio thing is because of the tuner or not.

there is a connector on the back of teh dvd player
it has 4 little holes and it should connect to ur sound card or I THINK the mobo....

I am curious as to where this goes as well. But i do know that it can connect to a sound card.
