Ok, well....

I have a new comp that I'm putting togethor tomorrow. I will have 2GB of RAM (4x512mb). I will have 2x512mb Kingston Dual-channel DDR400, 1x512mb Kingston non-Dual-channel DDR400, and 1x512mb sh*tty non-dual-channel DDR400 (dunno what it is exactly).

Now, will all of this work togethor?

Will the dual-channel stuff still work as dual-channel with the other 2 sticks of non-dual-channel?

Thanks.

the first two will work in dual channel but the other 2 wont. you might have problems with the mem working all together becaus of the different brand

Well I know the second two won't be running in dual-channel, lol. I was just wondering if they would work all togethor.

They might be a little faulty. atleast try to keep them at the same latency numbers(EX. 2-2-2-5)

I think the odd stick is like Samsung or something...it came out of an eMachines.

I used the 512mb Kingston non-dual-channel DDR400 paired with the 512mb Samsung (I think) non-dual-channel DDR400 in my current comp and it worked fine, so hopefully it will all work togethor.

What exactly do you mean by faulty?

cheap = "faulty"?????:amazed:
i dont think so man, just cause its cheap doesnt mean its "faulty"
If thats what u meant, if not im srry ;)
