at stock speeds no but it will probably overclock a lot further and overall its "the best bang for buck"......if you can afford it. the difference between the opteron and athlon series is mostly the quality of the silicon wafers used to produce them, the opterons are higher quality and can take more of a beating i.e. voltage and heat, meaning they generally overclock better

sounds good but normally i warn against asus boards. if you are really into overclocking look into a DFI board. a LanParty Ultra-D, or at the very least one of the Infinity series.

Yeah true. So what about the LanParty Ultra-D not supporting the opteron 165? Or does it really?

it will work fine, by "not supported" they mean not officially. there are no problems with it working. many of the forum members have this combo. the ultra-d has great overclocking options with regards to voltages and frequencies. it also has memtest86+ in BIOS which is invaluable in testing ram overclocks

they're all the same if they're the NF4 Ultra-D. unless you are asking for confirmation of the price? it looks alright just estimating the currency exchange.
