Transfer An Application from One Partition to another

Hia,
I have recently bought a new computer and have set windows xp up on it, but on my old computer i have visual studio installed and want to transfer it on to the new hard drive, withought creating an image of the old hard drive and transfering it to the new one, i cant just copy the folder with the program in becouse it does not move the registry aswell as the files, if any knows a method, or a program that can do this please reply,

Copy the files first.
Then go Start -> Run
Type "regedit"
In there search(there is option) for your software entry. Type the name of the software.
Then when found it - highlight its folder and Import the Registry.
Reboot under second OS and execute registry backup.

Oh, one more thing - software must be under the same folder, so registry entry can find it =) Also check in registry if there is any links to DLL files in Windows or something - if so copy them to a needed folders.
