Selling my laptop

I was wondering on how much I should charge a friend for my laptop.
It is a hp ZD8000 with a bueatiful 17inch screen
2.8ghz pentium 4 with hyperthreading
512mb ram
60 gig HD
256mb mobile x600 graphics

Just want to know what a good price to charge would be.

how old is it? thats a pretty good laptop. maybe 1200. depends how much of a friend he is

This laptop was about $1200 or so new if I'm not mistaken. My store used to carry then not too long ago. I think this is about 8 months old.

on the hp site i totalled it out to 2300 at the time of purchase.
this was last summer 05. Works great. 1200??? I was thinking 1400 do you think this is to high??

Got it for just over $1200. But, then I use PriceGrabber.com to do my shopping...

If you can get $1200 for it, consider it a good deal.

Yeah I meant ~$1200 USD, didn't know you were Canadian. I looked into it a little deeper and this laptop was worth more like around $1800 when new, I think I was quoting a lower end version.
$1800 USD is like 2200 Canadian right? 1400 Canadian seems okay, I wouldn't go more than that though. I'd go closer to 1200 depending on how good of a friend he was.
