Chinese Program Help

I received this chinese program from a china friend.

It is PPLIVE from PPlive.com

The installation instruction is in english but the letters in the program itself is displayed as "????" instead of the expected chinese letters.


Does anyone knows any programs or solutions to troubleshoot this?

when you installed chinese program on english version OS will result in that, open regional and language options from control panel, switch to languages section, check marked the "install files for east asian languages" (may needs source cd)then switch to advanced section, selected chinese (PRC) from drop down menu at language for non-unicode programs. then click ok to restart computer.

but i followed your instruction, but the computer don't restart.

I tried manually restarting it, but i can't work. any other solution?

That should be it you need the proper language packs. You may also not have the right type so I believe if you go in advanced you can pick even more fonts such as mandarian, cantonese, etc.

following is sample, because i used english OS and most of programs are chinese interface. configuration above working well.
