Help Me Build A Pc!

hi.

i've never attempted to build my own pc, but i'm tired of using my family's POS dell desktop and looking to get/build one of my own and i'm in need of some guidance.

pc will be used for photoshop cs2 and multimedia purposes.
i would also like to connect my pc to my hdtv via dvi -> hdmi.

budget is no more than 800. but once more money flows in, i will be looking to expand the system even more if required.

help would be appreciated. thanks in advance!!

Then research and do posts on individual components... U cant just expect us to do them all

But i would give u some suggestions:
6800gs (if u have AGP)
if u can afford it, 7800gs

Any kind of motherboard... as long as its not too cheap and it has a lot of plugs (depends on what ur wanting to get)

5300e speakers $130

Audigy 4 sound card $70

Logitech G15 keyboard (or something like that, its late)

A nice case.... i like the Xion cases
Also: dont get a case for performance.. get it for looks.

Dvd Burner (Nec is good and cheap..)

Be sure to do plenty of posting and research on each individual part

no... in my opinion all cases are the same... as long as they have enough space and they have enough fans... there the same

I know this is a very arquable topic, but hey. i jus say what i mean and mean wat i say...lol

umm no.. not all cases are the same at all...

~case material affects temps
~form factor
~room for hiding wire
~air flow
~different hdd bays
~durability
