would it be worth it if i chose a AD Athlon 64 3400+ w/ HT Technology for 170 dollars more or should i choose a Athlon 64 3200+ w/ HT Technology?

No that is not wourth it at all. I think most will agree with me but you will see little if any difference at all between the two.
