Thinking about switching computers. Dell to Mac. I need opinions!

Partly true, 10.5 will have Conroe and Merom with the VT (virtualization technology) that allows any x86 OS to be run at the same time in the backround. This will basically allow Mac OSX and Windows XP/Windows Vista to run flawlessly next to eachother.

Personally i'd keep my dignity and get neither.

Right ... because you don't even own either one and therefore you can judge both companies. There isn't a PC notebook that can match the Macbook Pro's specs and price.

OK, for one, I'd like to point out two things:
1. What's the point of getting a Mac if you're just gonna use a crappy, run of the mill, get it anywhere operating system? The Mac OS is what makes the Mac the Mac!
2. Microsoft and Apple are NOT making a Windows for Macs; you have to have the copy of Windows, device drivers, and no support is provided past support for Boot Camp.

True, that was my bad. But Apple and Microsoft are not joining forces and making a special version of Windows.

Right on, Mac OS's are hecka cool. Thatd be cool if someday, Windows PC's could run Mac OS's.
