Question while building

Ok ill prob have a few probs while building my new PC so ive made a new thread for them all .
Before i ask anything ive just gotta say i received all my components yesterday only to open the graphics card(7900GT) box and find one of the cylinder shaped things(capacitors???) broken off!
Anyway ive gone ahead and started building the rest while i wait for a replacement.
Heres a list of my components:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual core 4400+(socket 939)
Motherboard: Abit AN8 32X(socket 939)

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS edition (Havent got yet)

CPU Fan:Gigabyte G-Power cooler Pro
Other Cooling: Vantec 3.5" Hard Drive cooler
DVD/CD writer:Liteon SHM-165P6S-02C 16x DVD±RW/RAM

Ok first question is which way should i install the PSU, it fits both ways(upside down etc) but should the fan face down or up(theres still quite a bit of a gap above the PSU) some of the stickers etc face down and some face up.

for the PSU, i dun think it can face either way, because isnt there only one position it will go to so that the power cable slot is open on the back side panel?

and even if it does fit, put it in the position where the fans are facing down, because you want the hot air to get to the part of the case where there is good airflow.

put the fan down.. it might fit both ways but it will not screw in both ways.. trust me, i've tried.. lol (unknowingly)

Yes, you really should put the fan facing down for much better airflow. That looks like it will a very nice system!

It fitted in both ways(and the screws would line up), i presume the only place you screw it is from the back to the PSU?

Where is the best place to put all of the wires, is it ok to put some behind the mobo?
