DDR2 worth the wait?

but AMD haven't actually showed us any new tec hnology yet just the current technology modified for DDR2. i daresay they have some new technology up their sleeve for the release of AM2 and if not they are hoarding it until the release of conroe/merom/woodcrest cores. but in short "god no" DDR2 is not worth waiting for, i agree with macdude.

Does anyone have any reliable information on K8L? DDR2 has some issues with buffered modules so it doesn't seem like a desirable option for Socket F based processors and I've heard several rumours that K8L is being pushed to DDR3 support for that reason...if that winds up being true I can't imagine AM2 being anything more than a socket 754 dead end deja vu since it seems ridiculous for AMD to promote two memory platforms

I am still hoping that S1 turns out looking like a XP-M reincarnation though
