Building a new computer ... what parts to keep from old?

Well right now i have whats in the sig

AMD Athlon 3500+
ASUS Motherboard
DVD Burner
CD Player
250 Gig Hardrive
1 Gig of Memory


Computer i want

Buying CPU And MOBO
2 MOnths later
Buying Graphic Card And Probly 2 1 gig Corsiar dual channel memory

now from the computer i have now what parts to sell and what to keep ??

keep your hard drive, optical drives, and memory to hold you off until you can get your better ram.. then reassemble that compaq of yours and sell it to someone else for like 500 dollars and buy a new graphics card or whatever else you may want

i think you should keep the gpu u have now and wait until u really need to upgrade, save the cash for when u really need it SO U CAN GET SOMETHING REAL NICE
