Well i am currently using the CPU stock cooler, and it's not working too well. my computer is up to 40-46C (San Diego 3700+) good or bad? anyway i want to know what heatsink i can get for 40-60$ (heatsink w/o a fan i hear is a lot better, of course ill have to buy a fan also). and i got my cpu on newegg.com and they say i can't return it if i buy another cpu cooler(true)?, but ohh well.

40-46 is common for amds and that's in the idle threshold, so it's fine

you can waste money on a cooler, but it's not needed unless you plan on ocing

You want to keep your processor as cool as possible. I like this cooler for serious cooling without breaking the bank.

CoolerMaster

Warranty?-Just send the OEM heat sink back with the fried processor if you need to send it back:D

Thermal grease fills the gaps in between the surface of the chip and the face of the heatsink ensuring best heat transfer.

And it is 100% needed. :)
