DVDRW Problem Help please!!

I have a lite-on DVDRW SHM-165P6S

The problem is I can use normal CD's not a problem and game DVD's but when i put a movie dvd in it starts clicking and cant even read the dvd at all.
Does anybody have any ideas

how many discs have you tried? burned or original pressed discs?

i have used 3 original dvd's

thats odd, do you mean it can't play the dvd or it just doesn't seem to read the disc? could be the region setting :/

it just doesnt even read it and a serious of clicks start when it tries to.

And i have gone through the troubleshooting setion and it says it cant help

well the clicking sounds like the discs have errors. so all data dvds work? just not dvd video?

Well you would think so but i have tried 3 original DVD's and they all have the same problem but use them on a normal dvd player and they all work fine

have you tried updating the drivers??

i've had two lite-on drives now, both were very tempremental when writing discs/dvd's
