7600gt w/256mb or 6800 w/256mb


I originaly thought the 7600 would be better then I noticed it only had 128bit memory and the 6800 has 256bit memory.

So is the 7600 still better than any 6800?

Yes it is, and you get much more room to oc it and it will just become that much better.

Well the 7600 gt is better than the 6800, but the 6800 gs and 7600 gt are pretty close, the 7600 being a bit better. Go for the 6800 gs

The 7600GT is better than the 6800Ultra, so there's no comparison, not even with the 6800GS.

what about the x800xt? is that better than those, cause that is the ati card within the price range if I go with Ati.

Also i saw an x850xt for cheaper than the x800xt, but it had slower clock speed. (whats with that? I thought the x850xt was supposed to be faster and more expensive than the x800xt.)

Most people would tell you to stay away from the X8** series. Bad drivers or something.

Only things better than the 7600GT are the 7800s, X1800s, and X1900s, period.
