But alot of things do work and the only application that doesn't work under XP x64 that I have tried is Encrypt Easy an encryption program. But as for things working they do work, for things migrating to x64 (64 bit) it will come in due time just as we went from 16 bit to x86 (32 bit). Vista will be shipped in both 32 and 64 but Vista is the last 32 operating system from microsoft. Office 2007, Visual Studio and the like also are x64. If the app is not x64 you normally will have no problem running it if it's 32 bit. The only time when trouble arises is if the 32 bit program uses a 16 bit component in it's installer.
