Feedback on my future rig?

I am in the process of starting to buy my new rig. It's this first time I've spent this much on a pc, I usually don't have too much of a budget but I am going to treat myself as I got a new job. I currently have an AMD 2.4, 768Mb Ram, 80gb, GF4 Ti machine so you can tell a big upgrade is happening.

Please let me know if I am making some errors.

i would add a more powerful PSU, and a faster DVD drive (16X), as disks are already getting rated at 8X minimum.


Your PSU is requiring 460 watts already...so 550 watts might not be ample...

Thanks for that. More money spent on a PSU *sigh* but if it has to be done. Thanks for the link to that website, it's really helpful.

I'll definately get a faster DVD drive, that's easy and cheap.
