CPU choice?

Yeah ok. hmmm such a hard decision. But if i can oc the 4400 to 2.6 with very good cooling then this would be better?

Nothing is guaranteed btw, But the Opteron 165 is the best bet, it can OC to 2.7+ now. And you will save loads from not buying 4400.

Err the AMD X2 4400+ Dual core retails at around : 330 quid
The Opteron 165 Dual Core retails at around 260 quid.

Oh yeah lol. But there has to be a reason for this. If the opteron was that much better than it, it would be around the same price.

Theres no catch, oh and how does this sound, I assume your from UK mainland because your online in the afternoon.

This is the best thermal compound to get. The thermal compound is what Fills the microscopic gaps between the CPU and the Heatsink for maximum Heat Transfer.

The Big typhoon will give you very nice temps and you will be able to OC beyond 2.7GHZ and you save 40 QUID :D.

Because the surface of the CPU and heatsink is not perfectly flat, there will be slight gaps, so you use thermal compound to fill them in. You only need a tiny blob and it will help thermal transfer to the heatsink.

COOL. Does sound very good actually. And is a lot cheaper. But the opteron isnt dual core is it? So thats why its cheaper and i deffinetly want dual core because UT2007 takes advantage of this and other games coming out in the future.
